Only a quick post! The coral was inspired by doing lots of diving in Koh Tao, and the Frangipani flowers are EVERYWHERE here in Asia, a very robust little flower-great to make out of sugar paste to top your cakes. But drawing them was a bit trickier than I had originally thought!
There is a little tutorial on how to make sugarpaste frangipani: http://www.easy-cake-ideas.com/cake-decorating-techniques-10.html

I really have been looking for cakes here in Thailand, but instead I see lots of roti’s being made by street vendors (similar to a pancake) usually covered in sliced banana, condensed milk and Nutella.
I’ve found a recipe that looks good on this website: http://importfood.com/recipes/roti.html
Give it a go! Loads of fun!
There is also lots of sticky rice with fresh mango in Asia (if you want to lose a few teeth, have one of them, it’s super sweet!)
